The Harris distributed, Ecotecnica manufactured Katana is ruggedly designed, small footprint shear available in mobile, transportable and staionary models.

The Katana is designed with a rugged and robust principle in mind. The structure is designed to allow both maximum protection and access to critical components.
The placement of Katana’s compression box hinges provides virtually no exposure to scrap when the shear is in the closed position, virtually eliminating wear on the hinges.
The Katana features a true clamshell charge box design.

The Katana comes with a reliable power system driven by either diesel power, perfect for the transportable or mobile models, or electric drive, for the stationary model.

Strategic design
Hose and hydraulic piping placement throughout the machine allows simple, straightforward on site installation of core components and limits the transimssion of vibrations throughout the structure. Also provides excellent access for maintenance.
The Katana’s Logic Block manifold block is deliberately placed for for fast, accessible, excellent maintenance and basic troubleshooting advantages.
The side cylinders mounts are designed with functionality, accessibility and removal in mind. Perfect for replacement and routine maintenance.
Rugged Outlook
Split flange hose couplings are used on all primary connections – providing a more rugged and leak resistant connection than threaded hose connections.
Total Control
Katana models come with either Allen-Bradley or Siemens based PLC system. For stationary machine configurations, the primary control is located in the control cab above the power unit. The Katana also comes with a remote control unit, perfect for mobile or transportable models. The control toggle switches and joysticks are worn around the operators waist.

The Katana’s modular design is perfect for compact shipping with a requirement of only 3 trucks for delivery. The modular design is also perfect for efficient installation assembly and disassembly.
Unlimited Foundations
The Katana models require limited or no foundations for operations. This may limit the permits required for operation.
Maintainable Design
The Katana is designed with ease-of-maintenance in mind. All piping is exterior facing to allow easy access for routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Oil filters are highly accessible for easy changes. The hydraulic block is strategically located for quick access.
